Kent Swalla

Kent Swalla, best known as “Skip,” was born and raised in Newton, IA, where he started riding at a young age with his mother. He knew growing up that this was what he wanted to do. He and his wife Stacey reside in Columbia, MO, where they own and operate Glendale Stables LLC.

Skip is a USEF Large R judge in the Saddlebred, Saddle Seat, Roadster, Hackney, Morgan and Friesian divisions. Skip has been honored to have judged many local, regional, and national shows over the course of his career, including both the Saddlebred World’s Championship and Morgan World Grand National Horse Shows.

Additionally, he has trained and instructed numerous world and national champions. His success and expertise have been apparent across several breeds and divisions including Saddlebreds, Morgans, Hackneys in both performance and equitation. Kent’s ability to teach riders of all skill levels is apparent and highly respected throughout the industry.
  
FEES:
 
SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS ONLY: 
~ Full payment required to reserve your session 
~ $155 per rider/horse 
~ $135 per rider/horse for current NWSA Members
*all breeds/seats are welcome to participate, as well as driving
 ~ Auditing included for both days 
 
AUDITING ONLY: 
~ $50 Audit Fee – one day ($45 for NWSA Members) 
~ $90 Audit Fee – both days ($80 for NWSA Members) 
  
STALL RENTAL: 
$30 per day (at Deardorff Stable)
